I'm Kelsey, boudoir photographer at Rosewood Boudoir. Creating tasteful + romantic photographs that help you see your natural beauty.
Many women feel like they aren’t confident enough to book a Knoxville boudoir session.
They think they need to loose weight, know how to pose or “look sexy”, own a lot of lingerie, or have a special occasion.
But the truth is you don’t need any of that. You don’t need to feel confident to book a boudoir session.
Your body is worth celebrating now. I’ll walk you through how to pose and where to look. You don’t need lingerie if it’s not your vibe. You don’t need a special occasion. You are the special occasion.
Confidence is not a requirement, in fact, it’s usually found somewhere along the way.

You don’t need to feel confident before you book. And honestly, that’s the whole point.
Most of the women I photograph are a little nervous or worried they’ll look awkward before their session. It doesn’t mean they aren’t ready, it just means they’re normal humans.
It’s not every day you are photographed in your underwear. You’re allowed to feel nervous. But I hope you won’t let that stop you from having an incredible boudoir experience.
Maybe you don’t feel like you’re very photogenic. I’ve found that most women don’t know what to do with their hands, how to pose naturally, or what to do with their face. This is normal, and the reason I guide you through everything.
You’d be surprised what good light, flattering angles, and professional coaching can do.

So often, confidence shows up way sooner than you expect during your session. I’ll show you a few photos early on. Most women have their “holy crap that’s me” moment early in their session. After that they’ll subconsciously relax and the photos just keep getting better after that.
When your planning your boudoir session, one of the best tips I have (cheesy as it may sound) is to be true to yourself. Incorporate your tastes and interests. If you feel most comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, consider bringing your jeans and a cute bralette. Or your favorite t-shirt and matching undies. If you love to read, bring a book. If you love flowers, bring some flowers or choose pieces with lace in a floral pattern.
You don’t need to tailor yourself to what you think boudoir is. It’s really about tailoring your boudoir session to you.
You shouldn’t be unrecognizable in your boudoir photos. The point is to see yourself and your natural beauty a little bit more clearly.

You might, but you’ll likely be surprised how quickly you feel comfortable. I like to ease into our sessions starting with an outfit with more coverage (such as a robe, sweater, or button down) and moving to less coverage as you become more comfortable.
I will literally do every pose before you do and then tweak anything that needs to be tweaked once you’re posing.
I am also available to you during the planning process to answer any questions you may have. There are NO silly questions when it comes to boudoir.
If you’ve been trying to build up your confidence before you take the next step, I want you to hear me when I say “you are worth celebrating now”. You don’t need to change a thing. You don’t have to be fearless, know how to pose, or pretend to be someone you aren’t.
I’ll walk with you every step of your experience.
If you’re interested in a tasteful and romantic boudoir photography experience in Knoxville, I’d love to chat with you. Don’t put it off another moment, reach out here to learn more.
