Thinking of booking a boudoir session as an anniversary gift for your husband? Anniversary boudoir photography is a fantastic idea! Here’s a few things you may want to consider.
Many women choose to book a bridal boudoir session before their wedding. But even if they want to, it doesn’t always happen. Maybe this is you.
Maybe you always meant to book a boudoir session before your wedding. Perhaps you forgot or ran out of time. Or you really wanted to, but it was just too far out of your comfort zone at the time. Maybe you couldn’t quite squeeze it into the budget of an already expensive wedding. There’s even a chance that you didn’t want to do boudoir then, but you do now.
Whatever your reason, just because you didn’t do a bridal boudoir photography session before your wedding doesn’t mean it’s too late to do one now.
An anniversary is an amazing reason to book a boudoir session. Some grooms may be hoping for a boudoir album as a wedding gift, but I’ve found many husbands don’t even have it on their radar for anniversaries.
Anniversary boudoir photography makes for an epic surprise for him and a convenient excuse for you to finally book the boudoir session you’ve been thinking of.
Many times a boudoir album is even more meaningful after a year or two of marriage. It’s a way to keep the romance top of mind and let him know how much you love being his wife.
It’s also a way to grow your confidence and help you feel beautiful after the initial wedding fades.

If you fell in love with the look of bridal boudoir, there is no reason in the world you can’t bring some bridal details to your anniversary session. You could bring details like white lingerie, the necklace you wore on your wedding day, your veil, his wedding shirt, or even his cufflinks.
These details have a beautiful way of paying homage to your wedding while also celebrating how far you’ve come since the wedding day.

If bridal boudoir was never your vibe, that’s ok too. Anniversary boudoir does not have to look or feel bridal. Choose outfits and accessories that complement who you are right now.
I have plenty of posts about what to wear on this blog, but as a rule of thumb I love a good bodysuit as well as bra and panty sets.
You could also consider adding on a specialty set to your session such as a Golden Hour Set or a Wet Set.

I love preserving your Anniversary boudoir photos in an album. Having something physical to gift your spouse not only makes more of an impact than texted photos, but also makes your personal boudoir experience feel complete.
I’d love to chat with you about planning your own Anniversary boudoir session. Reach out here to see if the Rosewood Experience is the right fit for you.
