I'm Kelsey, boudoir photographer at Rosewood Boudoir. Creating tasteful + romantic photographs that help you see your natural beauty.
Boudoir is an intimate form of photography. It’s so important to be on the same page with your photographer before, during, and after your session.
One of the best ways to do this is with a pre-session boudoir questionnaire that covers everything your boudoir photographer needs to know for you to have an incredible boudoir session!
There are a bunch of questions on my pre-boudoir session questionnaire that simply help me get to know you a little better, but there are a few questions that are really important for me to know before I photograph you.
It’s really important for me to know the things you already love and appreciate about your body. These are the things we’ll want to lean into and highlight during your session.
Knowing what you love about your body before I take any photos, helps me choose poses and adjust the angles of the photos to showcase your favorite parts of your body.
These are the things you struggle to accept about your body or feel insecure about. Most of the time, it’s going to be difficult or impossible for me to know what you’re insecure about unless you tell me.
As women we tend to pick ourselves apart and struggle to accept things about our bodies that the rest of the world doesn’t even notice or think twice about.
While I think you look beautiful as you are, I always want to be cognizant of the things you struggle to accept because I want you to look and feel beautiful to YOU in your photos.
If you’ve put together a Pinterest board, sharing it with me is a great way to give me some insight into your style and what you’d like your session to look like.
I especially love when you let me know what about certain photos you like. Is it the pose, the lighting, the expression, the part of the body highlighted?
If you want to include some photos from my portfolio in your board, you can check out the Rosewood Boudoir Pinterest account here.
You can be very specific with your answer to this prompt or keep it somewhat vague. Your answer to this question helps me get a sense of your personality and what you want to feel when you look back at your boudoir images.
This is a multiple choice question: mostly clothed, lingerie, implied nude, topless, fully nude, and/or other.
This question gets us on the same page about your comfort level and helps manage both of our expectations for nudity going into the session. When it comes to boudoir, communication and clarity is always better than ambiguity!
