I'm Kelsey, boudoir photographer at Rosewood Boudoir. Creating tasteful + romantic photographs that help you see your natural beauty.
Many of the ladies I photograph are brides. I love to help them create a unique and intimate gift for their grooms.
I don’t necessarily recommend making your whole boudoir session about the wedding, but I do recommend doing a bridal look as one of your options! After all, you’re only a bride once!
Here are some of my best recommendations of bridal details to bring for your pre-wedding boudoir session!

This is the most obvious bridal detail to bring to your session, I admit. There are, however, a few things to keep in mind while you’re shopping for bridal lingerie.
Lace is a gorgeous bridal lingerie option. I love finding something that feels a little reminiscent of your wedding dress.
You should AVOID babydoll nightgowns. These tend not to photograph well unless they are extremely sheer and are fitted on your natural waist.
If you have a getting ready robe for your wedding day, this can be a fun item to bring to your bridal boudoir session. You could also bring a sheer white lacy robe to pair with your lingerie.

This is such a classic bridal item and it’s so much fun to play with and incorporate in photos. It’s especially meaningful to bring the veil you’ll wear as you walk down the aisle.
If you don’t have a veil, but like the idea of incorporating one in your photos, just let me know. I have a veil in my studio that you’re always welcome to use!

If you’re going a traditional route of wearing a garter under your wedding dress, you’ll definitely want to bring this detail along for your boudoir photos!
I don’t talk a lot about bringing shoes to boudoir sessions. On the whole, I don’t think it’s essential to wear shoes for your boudoir session.
However, if you’re a bride and you already have your wedding shoes and you love them (and maybe they’ll be hidden by your dress on your wedding day), your boudoir session is a great opportunity to show them off!
Most brides remember to wear their engagement ring to their sessions. BUT… if you’re doing your session as a wedding gift, you may want to bring your wedding band as well! You’ll be a married woman when he gets your images after all.
We’ll include plenty of detail shots where your ring(s) will be clearly visible, so it’s worth being intentional about whether you’ll include your wedding band.
If you’re doing your boudoir session as a gift for your man, it can be really fun and flirty to bring something of his to wear during your session.
Some of my favorite things to bring are his boxers, his button down, or maybe even his wedding tie.

Are you leaning into some of the classic wedding traditions? Have you chosen some things old, new, borrowed, and blue for your wedding? What about a sixpence for your shoe like the old wedding rhyme?
If you have, bring them to your session! Boudoir sessions are such a great opportunity to incorporate some of these items that you’ve chosen with love for your wedding day.
Have I left anything out?
Here are just a few more items and ideas you could bring to your pre-wedding boudoir session, but you’re not limited to my list!
